The Space:
As you arrive at our property, you’ll find plenty of street parking near the alley entrance to the peaceful fenced-in backyard which then leads you to the back door entrance. Follow the steps down into your private oasis of the newly remodeled and professionally decorated basement unit (please be sure to go downstairs and do not disturb or knock on the door to the upstairs tenant), where modern fixtures and decor bring a funky vibe to the unit.
The open kitchen is outfitted with almost everything you need for your stay (this unit does not have a standard oven but does have a stovetop and toaster oven available for use), and there are a vast number of local Denver restaurants to explore if cooking isn’t quite your forte.
In each of the two bedrooms, you’ll find a tilting/adjustable comfy queen bed with a large walk-in closet. There is also a full bathroom with a tub/shower combo and a rainfall showerhead, as well as a washer and dryer dedicated for your use if desired.
Grab a morning coffee to enjoy outside on the patio or venture out for a blissful morning stroll while enjoying the treasured sky above constantly presented throughout Colorado. Or, after a long day exploring Colorado, cozy up on the couch and make yourself at home while enjoying the flatscreen TV with cable, movie package, and streaming apps (must use your own streaming account), plus the sofa doubles as an extra Queen bed after a long day seeking everyone’s desired adventure.
The Denver/RTD light rail which travels throughout Downtown, links to the Denver Metro area, and Denver International Airport is just a block away!! The light rail/train system can pick you up at Denver International Airport and will connect you to Union Station downtown. From there you can take a short ride to be dropped off steps from our home, or go on a ride to tour the Denver metro area. At Union Station, you can also hop onto the train that heads into the mountains! This will drop you off in the Winter Park area so that you can easily access all that Colorado can provide during your travels in my home state.

**Please note - There is no air conditioning for this basement unit. The unit typically stays at moderate 68-72 degrees downstairs (even if it's 96 outside), but a fan has been provided for use if you desire.**

The neighborhood:
More than conveniently located 1 block from the light rail station, allowing easy access throughout the city and 5 blocks from Sloan’s Lake Park! Lakewood/Dry Gulch Park runs alongside the light rail tracks, which is an open space with a playground, as well as walking and biking trails connecting to the entire Denver area.
The Broncos Stadium is just only 1.2 miles down the road, but you could also hop on the light rail to get there a bit quicker or too also explore the greater Denver area. On your way back from the Foothills?... Stop in Golden for the Coors Brewery Factory tour!
Only a 4-minute drive to the Pepsi Center for a variety of concerts and sporting events. Now you are on the edge of downtown Denver with a multitude of shopping, sightseeing, and year-round events for the entire family.
Explore the food scene! Within a half a mile, you can discover some of Denver’s delicious eateries such as Swift’s Kitchen, Seedstock Brewery, or Los Mesones, then grab some brew at Tap and Burger Sloan’s Lake. Stop into the Alamo Drafthouse to dine-in during a movie or swing into Souls in Action Entertainment for sensational local music. For an event the entire family can enjoy, the world-famous Casa Bonita is less than a 5-minute drive west! There is a grocery store and Target located only 5 minutes away, so you can make sure you have everything you need to enjoy your trip.
Wintertime in Colorado brings many opportunities for play and adventure, as well as seasonal hazards that require consideration. AWD or 4WD capable vehicles are recommended from November - April for all guests. Please plan your travel accordingly. We are not responsible for guests ability to access roads or parking due to weather conditions.
